Since 1979, John Firmin has called Fayetteville home. A 1984 graduate of Fayetteville High School, he continued on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in the early 1990s. After working in sales, he discovered his passion lay in construction—and by 2001, he founded Build A Home, a Fayetteville-based general contracting firm.

Over the past two decades, John has overseen the design and construction of new homes, remodels, and additions across the region. While adept at projects of all sizes, he has a particular strength in creating compact, energy efficient homes and carefully executed remodels—reflecting a local trend toward green building and sustainability.

Operating from an office in Downtown Fayetteville, Build A Home thrives with a small team of three full‑time employees. Every project benefits from their collective expertise, attention to detail, and deep understanding of NWA’s unique character.
